Purpose
AutoCam is a screen capture utility that takes snapshots of the phone display for documentation purposes. Screenshots are made either manually or automatically, and can be saved in various popular image formats. The program comes with file manager functions and a built-in image viewer.

Compatibility
AutoCam UIQ2 can be executed on smartphones running on Symbian 7.0 with UIQ 2.0 or 2.1. Compatible devices include the SonyEricsson P910, P900, P800, and Motorola A1000, A925, A920 phones.

Installation
The distribution package can be installed directly by using the PC install program, or after uploading the .sis file to the phone. Refer to your phone's User Guide for details on installing.

Main display
The main view of AutoCam shows a list of existing screenshot files. Files are listed in reverse time order, i. e. the newest file is on top. After taking a screenshot the most recent file is selected.

Manual screenshots
To initiate a screenshot manually, bring the phone to the required state, then press the assigned hotkey or tap on the Cam icon. Both these methods are available all the time while AutoCam is running, and can be configured in Preferences/Trigger. The cam icon (shown by the green arrow on the illustration) can be dragged to any desired place on the screen.

Automatic screenshots
To start taking screenshots automatically, press the Start Auto button on the toolbar. (Note that the toolbar button is available only if you set the number of automatic shots in Preferences/Trigger.) AutoCam goes to background and lets you use the phone normally between screenshots. When the last picture is done, the AutoCam screen is displayed again. To stop automatic shots at any time, bring the program to foreground and press the Stop Auto toolbar button.
