Purpose
MulTimer turns your smartphone into a highly configurable timer clock. You can define multiple timers, each with a unique sequence of signaled events. Selectable timer types include upwards and countdown timers, and stopwatch with optional high-precision measurement. Events of a running timer can be skipped, while lap times can be displayed for the stopwatch. Large digital display allows easy readings. Timer events are signaled by visual messages, sound alerts, and backlight. MulTimer has been designed to fulfill all your timing needs.

Compatibility
MulTimer can be executed on smartphones running on Symbian 7.0 with UIQ 2.0 or 2.1. Compatible devices include the SonyEricsson P910, P900, P800, and Motorola A1000, A925, A920 phones.

Installation
The distribution package can be installed directly by using the PC install program, or after uploading the .sis file to the phone. Refer to your phone's User Guide for details on installing.

Timer display
The main view of MulTimer is for executing timers. You can switch to other views by using the top-right menu portion.
The name of the currently loaded timer is shown at the top.
The main display panel shows the current measured time with large digits. On the right side of the display panel the current local time, the time remaining until the next event, and the timer status are shown.
Below the display panel there is a listing of defined timer events or lap times. Events are marked with icon symbols for their execution status.

Timers and events
With MulTimer you can define multiple timers each with a set of events.
A timer is a unit of execution that can be loaded and run in the main Display view.
An event is a signaled happening bound to a moment within the duration of the timer it belongs to. Any number of events can be added to all timers.

Running a timer
Press the Start button to start executing the timer. The display panel shows the current timer reading, as well as the time remaining until the next event.
The timer can be suspended any time by pressing the Stop button. To resume measuring the time, press the Start button again. The timer stops automatically when the last event is reached.
The timer can be launched again after pressing the Reset button (available only when the timer is stopped).

Event signaling
Events are signaled when their defined time is reached. Event signals include screen message, sound, vibration and backlight. You can define an individual sound signal for each timer in the Modify timer dialog, while other signals can be set globally in Preferences.

Skipping events
While the timer is running, it is possible to fast-forward to the next upcoming event, by tapping on the Skip button, or pressing the designated Skip/Lap key. When skipping, the timer behaves as if the time remaining until the next event has elapsed instantly. The skip option is available for ascending and countdown timers.

Lap times
While running a stopwatch, you can display lap times by tapping on the Lap button, or pressing the designated Skip/Lap key. The number of separate lap times is unlimited.

Add new timer
With MulTimer you can have an unlimited number of timers each with a customized order of specific events. To create a new timer, tap the New button in Timers view. In the appearing New timer dialog you can set the following characteristics for the timer:

  • Name: Descriptive name that will be shown in the Timer view.
  • Timing: The timing type, i. e. Countdown, (ascending) Timer, or Stopwatch.
  • Precision: Timing frequency which can be Seconds or High. High-precision is available for the Stopwatch type (hundredths of seconds).

A default event is automatically added to each newly defined timer. After dismissing the New timer dialog, the Modify event dialog pops up, where you can modify the default event and add further events from the Events view (see below).

    Modify timer
Existing timers can be edited in the Modify timer dialog. The outline of the dialog is the same as the New timer dialog, but the timing type can not be changed.

    Add new event
